Mase Grünwald

Not much is known about the life of Mase Grünwald. He was born in Berlin on 3 February 1913. He worked as a decorative painter.
On 14 November 1935 he married Gerda Jungmann. Both lived with Gerda's parents at Bochumer Straße 15 in Berlin-Moabit.
Hans Jungmann managed to flee to Shanghai in 1938. His parents fled in 1939 to Shanghai. Gerda and Mase Grünwald probably fled to Palestine at the same time. The exact circumstances are not known. Mase lived the rest of his life in Haifa, Israel and died at the age of 66 in 1979.
