Am 29. Juli hatte Erich Gloeden einem Hauptbeteiligten am Attentat vom 20. Juli 1944, dem General Fritz Lindemann, in der Kastanienallee 23 Unterschlupf gewährt und war denunziert worden. Die Wohnung wurde am 3. September von
Gestapo
gestürmt, Fritz Lindemann, das Ehepaar Gloeden und Elisabeth Kuznitzky wurden verhaftet
