Elsbeth Cramer was born on April 24, 1871 in Brandenburg an der Havel.
She lived in a nursing home in Eberswalde for many years, but there are no files left there. According to the Federal Archives, she lived in this home in Eberswalde and then in the Waldfriede sanatorium in Berlin-Zehlendorf. Unfortunately, there are no files available upon request.
From here she was taken to the Brandenburg/Havel killing center in a “special operation against Jews” on July 19, 1940. It can be assumed that she was killed there with gas on the same day.
In the National Socialists' so-called "euthanasia program", also called the T4 campaign after the planners' headquarters at Tiergartenstrasse 4, disabled people from all parts of the country were transferred to killing centers to be murdered and their relatives were usually given fake death notices.
