Elisabeth Brodsky

Elisabeth Brodsky was the daughter of Haim and Manja Marie Brodsky, née Kogan. Her parents moved to Berlin from Russia at the beginning of the 20th century.
Elisabeth was born on January 10, 1911 in Berlin. Eight years later, on June 8, 1919, her brother Josef was born.
In 1933 her father died. Her brother Josef managed to escape to England in April 1939.
Elisabeth worked as a shorthand typist. Before her deportation, Elisabeth had to do forced labor in the Siemens-Schuckert works. She lived with her mother at Alexandrinenstrasse 73 in Berlin-Mitte.
Both were picked up from there and taken to the collective camp in the synagogue on Levetzowstrasse. Elisabeth and Manja Marie Brodsky were deported to Sobibor on June 13, 1942 and murdered there.
