Biography
Until 1931 Johanna Liepmannssohn lived on Kastanien Allee in Berlin N 58. Later she and her younger sister Margarete lived with their brother, the textile merchant Emil Louis Liepmannssohn, at Martin Strasse 8 in Steglitz.
The siblings were taken from this address on 19 January 1942 to Grunewald station and deported on the “9th transport” to Riga and killed. It is not known whether they ever reached Riga during that unusually cold winter or whether they died on the journey.
