Berta Schramm, née Hoffmann, was born on the 8th of March, 1880, in Raetz, which was a district of Tuchel in West Prussia. She was married to Louis Levi Schramm, who also came from Tuchel in West Prussia. The dates of their marriage and move to Berlin are unknown, but they must have moved by 1915; their daughter Dora was born in Berlin on the 8th of November of that year.
While in Berlin, the family lived in Weddding, at Swinemünder Straße 36 on the 1st floor. In address books of Berlin from 1939 and 1940, L. Schramm is alternately noted as a bicycle dealer and as a plumber.
On 4 March 1943, Louis and Berta Schramm were deported to Auschwitz with the 34th Osttransport. Both Louis and Berta were murdered there, along with their daughter, Dora.
